Pre-Surgery Preparation
Dietitian Consultations
Before surgery, you will have three sessions with the Fresh Start Bariatrics dietitian who will help you understand what to expect after bariatric surgery and provide nutrition, food choice and food preparation information, eating tips and support to help you make important diet changes before and after surgery. The dietitian will also teach you how to avoid vitamin deficiencies and make sure you know how to take adequate amounts of protein.
Pre-surgery Appointment with Dr. Myers
After your evaluation appointment is complete and your health insurance approval has been received, you will have your 2 - 4 hour pre-surgery consultation with Dr. Myers and the Bariatric Nurse. During this consult, your surgical operation will be explained to you in detail, you will receive your specific instructions and you will have all your remaining questions answered. The balance of your Program fee to cover all your post-surgery support will be collected at this time.
