Fresh Start Bariatrics Patient Support Groups
Fresh Start Bariatrics at Riverside believes in a holistic approach to weight loss surgery. We consider all aspects of the body and mind, and we know that surgery alone will not ensure long-term weight loss. That is why we offer our patients free monthly support group meetings. The meetings consist of alternating guest speakers such as dietitians, psychologists, bariatric surgeon, plastic surgeons and exercise physiologists. Varying educational topics are discussed and patients can share their experiences with each other. This group provides each one of our patients with the opportunity to provide encouragement to one another at varying stages of their journey, develop camaraderie and seek help and advice from the healthcare team and each other.
Support groups are open to Fresh Start Bariatrics patients only.
Free of charge.
